Establishes a task force to study workers' compensation coverage for students enrolled in public work-study programs or internships at regional agricultural science and technology education centers.

Task force membership includes chairpersons and ranking members of the joint standing committee on labor and public employees, plus seven additional members appointed by legislative leadership (Speaker, President Pro Tempore, majority and minority leaders of both chambers).

Task force shall examine current policies and practices regarding workers' compensation coverage for such students and consider potential changes to state law.

First meeting must be held within 60 days of the effective date, with all initial appointments made within 30 days.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on labor and public employees by January 1, 2025, and shall terminate on that date or upon submission of the report, whichever is later.
