Removes the exemption that currently allows federal, state, and municipal agency employees to perform skilled trade work without obtaining required licenses under Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 393 (skilled trades licensing)

Effective July 1, 2025, government employees performing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, elevator, glass work, and other regulated trades would need to meet the same licensing requirements as private sector workers

Maintains existing exemptions for public utility company employees, specially chartered municipal corporation employees, industrial firm maintenance workers, homeowners working on their own residences, and various other categories

Amends Section 20-340 and Section 20-340a(b) of the general statutes to remove government employee exemption language while preserving all other exemption categories
