Amends Connecticut General Statutes section 53a-20 to establish the "castle doctrine" for home defense situations

Creates a rebuttable presumption that a person's belief in the necessity of deadly force is reasonable when preventing or terminating unlawful forcible entry into their dwelling

Extends the same presumption to situations involving prevention of arson or crimes of violence by a trespasser

Shifts the legal burden by presuming reasonableness of the homeowner's belief, which can still be challenged with contrary evidence
