Extends the term of the Child Advocate from four years to five years, effective July 1, 2025

Establishes a formal reappointment process requiring the advisory committee to submit a preliminary evaluation report 12 months before term expiration and a final report with reappointment recommendation 6 months before expiration

Requires the Governor to accept or reject the advisory committee's reappointment recommendation within 90 days of receiving the final report; failure to respond results in automatic acceptance of the recommendation

Removes an outdated transitional provision related to vacancies occurring between January 1, 2012 and June 15, 2012

Requires the advisory committee's annual evaluation of the Office of the Child Advocate to be submitted to relevant legislative committees, the Governor, and published on the Child Advocate's website
