Adds mature and old-growth forests as priority areas for acquisition by Connecticut's natural area preserves system

Assigns the Natural Heritage, Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition Review Board responsibility for defining, identifying, and managing mature and old-growth forests

Requires the board to submit a report by February 15, 2026, detailing its plan to define, inventory, and analyze threats to mature and old-growth forests statewide

Mandates annual reports to the General Assembly beginning February 15, 2027, on progress and policy recommendations for conservation and protection of these forests and associated rare natural resources
