Expands work eligibility for 15-year-olds from "retail food stores" to any "mercantile establishment," allowing employment as baggers, cashiers, or stock clerks in all retail stores

Permits 15-year-olds in mercantile establishments to work any Saturday during the year, with other work limited to school vacation periods of five or more consecutive days

Maintains existing hour restrictions: maximum 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (extended to 9 p.m. from July 1 through Labor Day)
