Members of the former four companies of the Governor's Guards may organize as a private military force on or after July 1, 2025 to carry on the companies' history, tradition, and honors

Removes the Governor's Guards from the definition of "organized militia," which will now consist only of the State Guard and other forces designated by the Governor

Eliminates the majors commandant of the Governor's Foot Guards and Horse Guards from serving as ex-officio members of the Governor's military staff

Private military forces historically related to the former Governor's Guards may use military facilities at no cost and may be reactivated by the Governor for parades and ceremonies without state funding

Requires transfer of remaining balances from the Governor's Guards account and Governor's Guards horse account to the Military Department's morale, welfare and recreation account and the military facilities account, respectively, by June 30, 2025
