Municipalities would be authorized to pay a portion of a volunteer firefighter's property tax bill to another municipality where the firefighter resides

Applies when a volunteer firefighter lives in a different municipality than the one where they provide firefighting services

Amends Connecticut general statutes to create this new inter-municipal payment authority

Serves as an incentive mechanism to recruit and retain volunteer firefighters who live outside the community they serve
