Municipalities using automated traffic enforcement safety devices (such as red light or speed cameras) under sections 14-307a to 14-307 would have their state funding reduced

Funding reduction would equal the costs of operating the devices, including processing and storing images, and processing and collecting fines

Additional reduction would include any amount the state would have received if the violation had been detected by a law enforcement officer issuing a citation instead of by an automated device
