Commissioner of Consumer Protection must establish a grant program by January 1, 2026 to reimburse Connecticut veterans and apprenticeship program sponsors for licensure, certification, registration, and tuition fees

Veterans can receive reimbursement for examination fees, initial licensure/certification fees, and annual renewal fees for five years following initial licensure paid to the Department of Consumer Protection on or after July 1, 2025

Apprenticeship program sponsors can be reimbursed for fees paid to the Labor Department for veteran apprentices participating in their programs

Tuition fees charged by the Technical Education and Career System are reimbursable up to $1,000 in aggregate per veteran student

$100,000 is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Consumer Protection for fiscal year 2025-2026, with joint reports to the veterans' affairs committee required every six months starting January 1, 2027
