Personal needs allowance for Medicaid and SSI recipients in long-term care facilities set at $75 per month through state supplement payments

Starting July 1, 2025, and annually thereafter, the allowance will increase by 25% of the federal SSI cost-of-living adjustment each year

State supplement payments are deposited directly into residents' personal fund accounts at long-term care facilities

Applies to residents of chronic and convalescent nursing homes, chronic disease hospitals, rest homes with nursing supervision, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and state humane institutions

Takes effect upon passage and amends sections 17b-106(b) and 17b-272 of the general statutes
