Adds a new requirement for police officers to record whether they were alerted to a traffic violation through automated means such as radar, laser, or automated license plate recognition systems

Amends section 54-1m(b) of Connecticut General Statutes governing the standardized method for recording traffic stop information used by municipal police, the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, and other departments with traffic stop authority

Effective date is October 1, 2025

Existing data collection requirements remain unchanged, including date/time, location, officer ID, driver demographics (race, ethnicity, age, gender), nature of violation, and stop disposition (warnings, citations, searches, arrests)
