Public agencies are prohibited from disclosing any information indicating the location of shelters or transitional housing for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault

Meetings of public agencies may be held in executive session when discussions would reveal the location of such shelters or transitional housing

Strengthens existing law by changing from permissive language ("nothing shall require disclosure") to mandatory prohibition ("shall not disclose")

Expands protections to explicitly include sexual assault victims alongside domestic violence victims

Effective October 1, 2025
