Requirements must be established for hospitals to receive diverted patients and for licensed emergency medical service organizations to follow when a hospital declares diversion

Emergency medical service organizations that fail to comply with diversion requirements face disciplinary action under section 19a-180 of the general statutes

Commissioner may implement policies and procedures immediately while adopting formal regulations, provided notice is published on eRegulations System within 20 days of implementation; effective date is July 1, 2025
