Dog licensing changes from annual to every three years, with licenses due on or before June 30th for dogs six months or older, effective July 1, 2025

License fees remain unchanged: $7 for neutered/spayed dogs, $12 for unneutered/unspayed dogs, plus $1 town clerk fee

Owners must still submit annual rabies vaccination certificates to the town clerk, even though the license itself is valid for three years

Late licensing penalty of $1 per month continues to apply when owners fail to obtain required licenses

Temporary licenses issued for dogs acquired from pounds expire after 30 days, after which owners must apply for a license for the remainder of the three-year period
