Reduces reading, writing, and mathematics testing from grades 3-8 annually to only grades 4, 6, 8, and 11 starting in the 2026-2027 school year, with the 2025-2026 year as a transition period maintaining grades 3-8 testing

Maintains annual science assessments for students in grades 5, 8, and 11, continuing the requirement established in 2018

Requires grade 11 students to take a nationally recognized college readiness assessment measuring reading, writing, and mathematics skills, paid for by the State Board of Education

Excludes mastery examination scores from school accountability index calculations for multilingual learners enrolled fewer than 20 school months

Requires the Department of Education to notify school boards of student scores by August 15, and boards must notify parents by October 1 of each school year
