Removes the requirement that exactly six commission members be attorneys and six be non-attorneys, while maintaining the 12-member composition and limit of no more than six members from the same political party

Requires attorney members appointed on or after July 1, 2025 to have practiced law in Connecticut for at least 10 years

Extends the waiting period for attorney commission members to be considered for judicial nomination from two years to three years after their tenure ends

Allows candidates and incumbent judges denied recommendation to request a brief summary of the reasons supporting the commission's decision

Requires annual reports to include statistics on candidates' areas of professional experience in addition to existing demographic information
