Commissioner of Transportation must study the feasibility of operating hybrid trains on the Danbury branch line and expanding the line to include New Milford, with results due to the transportation committee by February 1, 2026

Connecticut Public Transportation Council consists of 15 members who are regular users of New Haven commuter rail (including New Canaan, Danbury, and Waterbury branches), Shore Line East, Hartford rail line, or state-funded public transit

Council members serve four-year terms and are appointed by the Governor (4 members), legislative leaders, and transportation committee chairs/ranking members

Department of Transportation must maintain a separate webpage for the council containing meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, reports, and resources

Council must meet at least quarterly; members who miss 50% of meetings in a calendar year or three consecutive meetings are deemed to have resigned
