Eliminates the duty to retreat before using deadly physical force in self-defense or defense of others when a person is inside a house of religious worship owned by or held in trust for any religious organization

Expands Connecticut's existing "stand your ground" exceptions, which currently apply only to a person's dwelling and workplace (for non-aggressors)

Amends section 53a-19(b) of Connecticut General Statutes governing justification for use of deadly physical force

Effective date: October 1, 2025
