Commissioners of Emergency Services and Public Protection and Energy and Environmental Protection must jointly conduct a study on improving the assignment of conservation officers statewide

Study must examine the feasibility of housing conservation officers within State Police barracks under the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection

Study must explore ways to improve conservation officers' ability to enforce statutory provisions listed in section 26-6(a) of the general statutes

Report with study results and legislative recommendations due to the joint standing committees on public safety and environment by January 1, 2026
