Requires assisted living services agencies to establish emergency medical treatment protocols for each resident in managed residential communities by January 1, 2026

Protocols must specify types of emergency services that may be provided on-site, including treatments for asthma, COPD, dehydration, dizziness, confusion, falls, and hypoglycemia (including glucagon administration)

Protocols must identify which staff categories may provide emergency services, required training, and circumstances for providing care versus calling 9-1-1

Supervisors must ensure staff are educated on emergency protocols and best practices for determining when to provide on-site care versus arranging hospital transport

Effective October 1, 2025; applies to Department of Public Health-licensed agencies serving residents primarily 55 years or older in for-profit or nonprofit residential facilities (excludes state-funded congregate housing)
