Commissioner of Social Services must submit annual reports to the General Assembly's appropriations and human services committees starting July 1, 2027, on implementation of the Medicaid rate study required by Public Act 23-186

Commissioner must review Medicaid reimbursement rates by July 1, 2030, and every five years thereafter

Following each five-year review, the commissioner has discretionary authority to increase and rebase rates using a more current Medicare base year to ensure equality among providers

Effective date: July 1, 2025
