Commissioner of Transportation shall convey approximately 9.45 acres of state land known as South Greenway to the town of North Canaan at a cost equal only to administrative expenses, subject to State Properties Review Board approval

Land must be used for open space or low-impact nonmotorized public recreation (including an existing greenway trail), with up to 4 acres permitted for a not-for-profit fire and emergency services facility managed by North Canaan Fire Company

Property reverts to the state if North Canaan fails to use it for designated purposes, sells it, or leases it (except transfers to nonprofits at fair market value, with proceeds deposited to the Special Transportation Fund)

Parcel remains subject to an easement for Housatonic Railroad Company to maintain a railroad spur along the southern boundary

State Properties Review Board must complete review within 30 days of receiving the proposed agreement from the Department of Transportation
