Commissioners of Economic and Community Development and Transportation must jointly conduct or commission an economic study on areas surrounding the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge in Montville and Preston

Study must evaluate whether the bridge adequately serves traffic flow and will assess impacts from nearby development projects including Great Wolf Lodge in Mashantucket, Preston Riverwalk Project, Thames River Development, and Preston Incinerator expansion

Study must examine the bridge's capacity to handle permitted loads not allowed on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge (New London/Groton) and assess impacts if Gold Star Bridge were closed due to a public safety incident

Results and recommendations regarding bridge rehabilitation must be submitted to the commerce and transportation committees by July 1, 2026
