Voluntary "tip" payments made by contributors to online fundraising platforms are excluded from the legal definition of "contribution" and "expenditure" under campaign finance law, provided the tips are used for platform operations

Amends Connecticut General Statutes sections 9-601a(b) and 9-601b(b) to add the new exclusions for online platform voluntary payments

Takes effect immediately upon passage
