Amends the definition of "child" in Connecticut General Statutes section 46b-120 to expand juvenile court jurisdiction for abuse and neglect cases

Allows youth who turn 18 years old during pending neglect, abuse, or uncared-for proceedings to continue being treated as a "child" until adjudication is complete

Applies specifically to verified petitions filed under section 46b-129 alleging neglect, abuse, or lack of care

Effective date: July 1, 2025

Prevents cases from being dismissed or transferred simply because the subject turns 18 before the court reaches a decision
