Municipalities may adopt ordinances to regulate snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes, and mini-motorcycles with penalties up to $1,000 for first violations, $1,500 for second violations, and $2,000 for third or subsequent violations, effective July 1, 2025

Municipalities may seize and forfeit ATVs, dirt bikes, and mini-motorcycles used in violation of local ordinances, with forfeited vehicles sold at public auction or destroyed and proceeds deposited into the municipal general fund

New authority allows municipalities to prohibit organizing, participating in, or intentionally observing street takeovers, with penalties up to $2,000 and vehicle impoundment until fines, towing fees, and overdue property taxes are paid, effective October 1, 2025

Vehicles impounded for street takeover violations may be forfeited to the municipality if owners fail to pay fines and charges within six months

License suspension periods modified for street takeover violations: 45 days for first or second offense, two years for subsequent offenses; penalties for repeat offenses upgraded to class D felony with mandatory $2,000 minimum fine
