Department of Education must partner with a nonprofit educational organization to establish a pilot program for high school students at risk of withdrawing or not graduating, effective July 1, 2025

Up to four school districts will be selected to participate in the pilot program during fiscal year 2025-2026

Participating districts must offer project-based learning curriculum in science, math, English language arts, and social studies that incorporates experiential learning and aligns academics with career pathways

Curriculum must align with state curriculum guidelines approved by the State Board of Education and state-wide subject matter content standards

Department must submit a report on pilot program results, including recommendations for continuation or expansion, to the Education Committee by October 1, 2026
