Municipalities may adopt ordinances prohibiting organizing, participating in, or gathering with intent to observe street takeovers, effective October 1, 2025

Local ordinances may authorize seizure and forfeiture of motor vehicles involved in street takeovers, subject to existing liens, leases, or security interests

Owners or lienholders who did not know and could not reasonably have known their vehicle would be used in a street takeover are protected from forfeiture

Forfeited vehicles must be sold at public auction, with proceeds deposited into the municipality's general fund or special fund to support local police or resident state troopers
