Extends the deadline from July 1, 2024 to July 1, 2026 for municipalities and boards of education to begin operating live digital video school bus violation detection monitoring systems

Municipalities or boards of education not operating such systems before July 1, 2026 are prohibited from starting new systems or entering vendor agreements after that date

Requires existing systems operating as of July 1, 2026 to cease operations by July 1, 2028 (extended from the previous 2026 deadline)

Allows private vendors to continue operating systems past July 1, 2028 only if the original agreement was entered before July 1, 2026, no renewal options are exercised after that date, and operations cease when the agreement terminates

Takes effect upon passage and amends section 14-279a(e) of the general statutes
