Correction Ombuds must report by January 1, 2026 on staffing needs for inmate health care and on methods for informing inmates' families about available health services and how to inquire about an inmate's care

Task force established to study barriers to recruiting and retaining health care and mental health care personnel within the Department of Correction, with findings due by January 1, 2026

Commissioner of Correction must report by January 1, 2026 on department policies regarding inmate health care services, communication with outside providers about inmates' medical history, and procedures for releasing medical records to primary care providers after discharge

All four sections take effect upon passage and create new statutory provisions
