Expands Medicaid and HUSKY B coverage to include GLP-1 weight loss drugs for beneficiaries with BMI greater than 35, and allows continued coverage if BMI drops below 35 when a physician certifies discontinuation would cause BMI to rise again

Requires bariatric surgery and related medical services coverage for Medicaid/HUSKY B beneficiaries with severe obesity (BMI over 40, or BMI 35+ with comorbid conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or sleep apnea)

Mandates that prescribing practitioners complete training in effective pain management, including nonopioid alternatives, as a condition for Medicaid reimbursement when prescribing opioid drugs (effective July 1, 2025)

Requires the Commissioner of Social Services to submit Medicaid state plan amendments to the General Assembly's human services committee for approval within 30 days before federal submission (effective July 1, 2025)
