Renames the state-wide firearms "trafficking" task force to the firearms "crimes and tracing" task force within the Division of State Police, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection

Requires the task force to submit annual reports to the Governor and legislative committees beginning February 1, 2026, detailing the number of individuals arrested, firearms seized, other activities, and resource needs

Authorizes the task force to conduct investigations statewide, request assistance from federal, state, and local agencies, and enter into mutual assistance agreements with other states

Updates firearm vendor record inspection requirements to allow investigators assigned to the renamed task force access to sales records for official purposes

Renames the associated Policy Board to the State-Wide Firearms Crimes and Tracing Task Force Policy Board, maintaining its existing membership structure including the Commissioner of Emergency Services, Chief State's Attorney, and designated police chiefs
