Laboratories conducting water quality tests on private residential or semipublic wells must report results to local health authorities and the Department of Public Health within 30 days of test completion

Removes requirement for commissioner approval before local health authorities or the department can disclose well test results and investigation information

Authorizes disclosure of results to property owners where wells are located, owners of adjacent properties, owners of properties sharing the well, and prospective buyers with signed purchase contracts

Adds state agency agents as authorized recipients of disclosed water quality information

Effective October 1, 2026; amends Section 19a-37(c)(1) of Connecticut General Statutes
