Commissioner of Veterans Affairs must annually solicit applications and reapplications from organizations likely to qualify for the qualified veterans' charitable organizations list, rather than waiting for organizations to submit applications on their own initiative

Qualified veterans' charitable organizations remain on the published list for three-year periods and must meet requirements including being established for benevolent, educational, philanthropic, or advocacy purposes relating to veterans

Organizations must have been either a Connecticut nonstock corporation for 3+ years or a 501(c) tax-exempt organization for 3+ consecutive years to qualify

The list, links to each organization's website, and qualification criteria must be published on the Department of Veterans Affairs website with a disclaimer that the state provides no warranty about content accuracy
