Personal needs allowance for Medicaid and SSI recipients in long-term care facilities set at $75 per month

Beginning July 1, 2026, and annually thereafter, the allowance increases by 25% of the federal SSI cost-of-living adjustment

State supplement payments go directly to long-term care facilities for deposit into residents' personal fund accounts

Applies to residents of chronic and convalescent nursing homes, chronic disease hospitals, rest homes with nursing supervision, intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and state humane institutions

Effective immediately upon passage
