Expands the practice settings for licensed dental hygienists to include private residences, in addition to existing public health facilities such as community health centers, schools, senior centers, and group homes

Requires dental hygienists practicing in private residences to have at least two years of experience as a licensed dental hygienist

Dental hygienists practicing in private residences must comply with existing requirements including referring patients with needs outside their scope of practice and coordinating referrals with licensed dentists

Effective date of October 1, 2026
