Establishes a working group to address Islamophobia in Connecticut public schools, providing assistance and resources to the Department of Education for distribution to local and regional boards of education

Working group may propose amendments to school district policies to ensure safety for students, educators, and personnel, and may offer Islamophobia-related training for educators and administrators

Consists of 9 members appointed by legislative leaders and the Governor, including representatives from civil rights organizations, Muslim nonprofit and religious organizations, educators, school administrators, and higher education faculty with expertise in combating religious bigotry

Initial appointments must be made within 30 days of passage, with the first meeting held within 60 days; cochairpersons selected by the Speaker of the House and Senate President Pro Tempore

Working group must submit findings and recommendations to the Commissioner of Education and the Education Committee by January 1, 2027, at which point the group terminates
