Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection must conduct a study of municipal permitting and inspection processes for residential solar photovoltaic system installations

Study must examine processes across multiple municipalities selected by the commissioner to determine average permit approval times, number of required site inspections before system activation, and which local officials perform inspections

Report due to the General Assembly's Energy and Technology Committee by February 1, 2027

Effective immediately upon passage
