Establishes a task force to study the operations of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection

Task force consists of 11 members: 2 appointed by House Speaker, 2 by Senate President Pro Tempore, 1 each by House and Senate majority leaders, 1 each by House and Senate minority leaders, the Commissioner of Consumer Protection (or designee), and 2 appointed by the Governor

Legislative appointees may be members of the General Assembly; all initial appointments must be made within 30 days of the act's passage

Speaker of the House and Senate President Pro Tempore select co-chairs from among task force members; first meeting must occur within 60 days of passage

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the joint standing committee on consumer protection by January 1, 2027, at which point the task force terminates
