Individual and group health insurance policies that cover chemotherapy must also cover scalp cooling systems (devices that cool the scalp to prevent or reduce chemotherapy-related hair loss) at coverage levels equivalent to Medicare, effective January 1, 2027

Cost-sharing requirements (copays, coinsurance, deductibles) for scalp cooling systems cannot be more restrictive than those imposed on other benefits under the same policy, with an exception for high deductible health plans

Insurers may require prior authorization for scalp cooling systems, but only in the same manner required for other covered benefits

Insurance Commissioner must study and report to the legislature by January 1, 2027 on potential mandated coverage for: infertility treatment, athletic prosthetic devices, hippotherapy, gambling disorder treatment, PANDAS/PANS treatment, and 12-month supplies of hormone therapy
