Expands the definition of "hazardous duty member" under the State Employee Retirement Act to include investigators in the Division of Public Defender Services and support service investigators in Support Enforcement Services of the Superior Court

Adds "investigator" to the existing list of hazardous duty positions in the Division of Criminal Justice, alongside detectives, chief inspectors, and inspectors

Hazardous duty members may retire after completing 25 years of credited service in a hazardous duty position

For the three newly added investigator positions, credited service as a hazardous duty member will be calculated starting from October 1, 2026

Effective date: October 1, 2026
