Extends zoning enforcement authority to municipalities operating under special acts, allowing them to impose the same fines and penalties as municipalities operating under general statutes

Fines for zoning violations range from $10-$100 per day for standard violations, and $100-$250 per day plus up to 10 days imprisonment (maximum 30 days total) for willful violations

Civil penalties up to $2,500 may be imposed on persons who fail to comply with discontinuance orders within 10 days or cease and desist orders for land grading/erosion violations

Courts may award municipalities their costs plus reasonable attorney's fees when violations are found to be willful

Effective October 1, 2026, amending Section 8-12 of the general statutes
