Commissioner of Social Services must provide veterans the same SNAP benefit levels they would have received without work requirements, prior to the elimination of the veterans work requirement exemption under P.L. 119-21

Establishes the Connecticut Farmers' Market/Veteran Nutrition Program, administered by the Commissioner of Agriculture, to distribute vouchers redeemable at designated Connecticut farmers' markets for fresh produce and chicken eggs

Eligible veteran participants must be 60 years or older and either reside in elderly housing, participate in a congregate meal site, or be identified by a municipal veterans representative as being at nutritional risk

Effective date is July 1, 2026
