Contractors providing services to common interest community (HOA/condo) associations are prohibited from giving gifts exceeding $50 per calendar year to executive board members, effective October 1, 2026

Executive board members are prohibited from accepting gifts or combinations of gifts valued over $50 in aggregate per calendar year from contractors

Managing agents, association management service providers, and contractors are banned from campaigning for candidates seeking election to executive boards

Officers, board members, and contractors must exercise the same degree of care and loyalty when conducting association elections as required of trustees or officials conducting state or municipal elections

The Office of State Ethics and State Elections Enforcement Commission may adopt regulations to implement these provisions
