Commissioner of Administrative Services must conduct a study, in consultation with the Commissioners of Emergency Services and Public Protection and Labor, to determine whether state-wide "essential worker" or "first responder" job classifications should be established

Study must assess the potential effects of such classifications on employee benefits and job requirements for positions that would fall within them

Study must specifically evaluate whether telecommunicators and public works department employees should be classified as essential workers or first responders

Report on the study results must be submitted to the General Assembly's Public Safety and Security Committee by January 1, 2027

Takes effect upon passage
