Local fire marshals must furnish fire and explosion reports occurring at solar photovoltaic facilities to the Connecticut Siting Council, in addition to existing State Fire Marshal reporting requirements

Within 30 days of receiving a report, the Connecticut Siting Council and local fire marshal must jointly determine whether solar photovoltaic equipment contributed to the fire or explosion

If equipment is found to be a contributing factor, the Council must initiate an amendment proceeding to require the facility owner to adopt a fire mitigation plan incorporating best management practices based on current science

Within 180 days after a mitigation plan is adopted, the Council must identify any similarly situated solar facilities in the state and may require those owners to adopt the same fire mitigation plan
