Municipal water pollution control authorities (or boards of selectmen where no such authority exists) must submit annual reports to the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management beginning January 1, 2027

Reports must detail current wastewater capacity and any projected excess capacity for the following year, using a format prescribed by the secretary

Failure to submit the required annual report may result in the Secretary withholding state funding allocated for wastewater infrastructure improvements

The requirement takes effect October 1, 2026, and amends Section 7-246 of the general statutes by adding a new subsection (d)
