Commissioner of Social Services must file a status report on community action agencies with the Human Services committee by October 1, 2026

Report must compare current number of community action agencies to those operating in calendar year 2021

Report must include summaries of any Department of Social Services investigations into community action agencies from the previous two calendar years, subject to disclosure exemptions

Report must identify agencies that lost their designation to serve communities, regions underserved by community action agencies, and an assessment of agency health including real property and finances

Report must summarize challenges facing community action agencies and recommend state actions to support them consistent with federal law
