Assisted living facilities must hold a public informational hearing at least 30 days before any fee increase exceeding 10% of the previous fee takes effect

Public hearings must allow commentary from residents, their representatives, family members, press, and any other members of the public

Facilities must provide residents and their representatives, upon request, a history of fee increases over the past three calendar years

Immediate fee adjustments remain permitted when directly related to changes in care level or services needed for individual resident safety

Effective date: October 1, 2026
